Comtrarian idea’s unpopularity does not make it true. He could enjoy his fundamentalism in the knowledge that he had intimate access, as it were, to its opposite. Hitchens was courageous in both life and death. There are fringe views that deserve to be marginalized, and then there are dissenting views which need to be heeded, or at least considered.

He knows it very contragian himself though I’m not sure most of those who lump him with Dawkins or Harris do. People began to stand up at meetings and orate about how they felt, not about what or how they thought, and about who they were rather than what if anything they had done or stood for.

Hitchens makes some great points, however his flowery wording made it hard to keep my concentration. I am sifting through his points, and think that Hitchns see some of what he is arguing a bit differently. I am told that my neutral face is a pissed-off face.

He too often got lost in his scotch-driven ramblings for most of his work to be of any lasting intellectual value.
